Misalignment (Malocclusion)

Class I Malocclusion - This is a malocclusion where the bite is okay and the top teeth line up with the bottom teeth, but the teeth are crooked, crowded or turned.

Malocclusions are measured between the eye teeth (canines) and the bicuspid (premolar). In the case of a Class I Malocclusion when the teeth are crooked, biting and grinding of food can become problematic and lead to improper tooth wear and further alignment problems.

If you or your teen show beginning signs of a malocclusion it is important to start treatment now, rather than waiting until the problem is more severe. Each dental case is different and should be evaluated by a dentist. Please call our dentist office so we can schedule an evaluation of your situation soon.
